When it comes to our pets, there are a number of factors that come into play that can determine our pets’ well being. Therefore, we’re always on high alert, at least when a pet is new and or young, because there are a million things that could go wrong, and we want to be prepared. However, you and your pet are much safer than you think you are. All you have to do is a little research to have your pet taken care of. Here are some tips from me to you.
First and foremost, you’ll need to make sure your dog gets plenty of exercises. Dogs have a lot of energy, so you’ll need to see to that in one of a few ways each day. They like to play, for one thing, so playing fetch or tug of war with your dog is a great way to get in that exercise, and get out all that energy, for the day. Another great way for dogs to get exercise, and what seems to be their favorite way, is to go for walks, to get dressed up in your favorite Nine West outfit and join your puppers for a walk around the neighborhood, but be ready for a boy dog to stop and pee all over every bush to mark his territory, and bring some plastic bags in case he marks his territory in the worst way possible. If your dog begins to run frantically back and forth in your home, it means they haven’t gotten enough exercise, and the energy and excitement is overwhelming, so it’s nothing to worry about. It’s called zoomies. Look it up for more info if you’re curious.
Another thing to look for with pets is ticks and fleas. Fleas can be a real nuisance, but they’re certainly no threat on their own. However, a cat or dog living with these pets will be miserable, so identifying and solving the problem quickly is preferred. With ticks, however, the threat is much bigger. Some ticks are harmless, but deer ticks, as they’re known, carry lyme disease, so if one gets on your pet, you’ll need to find it and remove it as quickly as possible. However, unlike fleas, there’s little to no tell that your pet is carrying a tick. You’ll just want to check them if they’ve been in wooded areas recently. In both cases, there are medicated shampoos that will solve the problem in no time, so it’s no worries if you catch it in time.
